Sometimes urban legends come from truth. You know that one where the couple checks into the hotel and complains again and again about the smell that won’t go away, and then they find a corpse under the mattress? Well you’d be surprised how often that actually happens. Always check under the bed.

One Park, Three Curses //

In the 1960s, three children died at Lake Shawnee Amusement Park in West Virginia. Way before it was a park, that very site was the homestead of the first white settlers in Mercer County, WV, where three settler children were killed. And way before it was a homestead, it was the site of the ancient burial ground of 3,000 Shawnee children, for the trifecta. Oh hell yeah it’s haunted.
