EPISODE DRINK:

Sparkling Lavender Lemon Cocktails

  • 1 oz lavender simple syrup
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 4 oz sparkling wine
  • 1-2 slices strawberry

For the lavender simple syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tbsp fresh or dried lavender flowers
  • 2 cups sugar

To make lavender simple syrup

  1. Bring water and lavender to a boil in saucepan.

  2. Reduce heat and stir in the sugar until fully dissolved.

  3. Simmer for about 15 minutes.

  4. Remove from heat and allow to steep for at least 1 hour - longer for stronger flavor.

  5. Strain and refrigerate.

To make cocktail

  1. Add lavender syrup, lemon juice, and vodka to an ice-filled shaker.

  2. Shake-a shake-a shake-a.

  3. Pour into champagne flute.

  4. Top with wine and garnish with strawberry slice(s)
