EPISODE DRINK:
Sticky Sticky Basil Mojito

INGREDIENTS
- 10 large basil leaves, divided
- 1/4 C plus 2 tsp superfine or granulated sugar, divided
- 1/4 C lime juice
- 1/2 C white rum
- About 1/2 C cold club soda
- Lime wedges
PREPARATION
- Make basil sugar for glass rim:
- Put 2 basil leaves and 1/4 C sugar in food processor until blended
- Set aside on a plate
- In a shaker combine lime juice, 4 TB sugar, remaining basil leaves
- Muddle with muddler or wooden spoon until leaves are broken up
- Add rum and a few ice cubes
- Shakeshakeshake
- Rub a lime wedge along rim of 2 lowball glasses and dip in basil sugar (reserving remaining sugar for more cocktails)
- Add a few ice cubes to each glass
- Remove top from shaker (do not strain) and divide mixture between glasses
- Top off each with club soda and stir
- Garnish with a lime wedge and/or basil leaf
Makes two drinks, or one double in a highball. Enjoy!
