Directions
Muddle lemon peel in whiskey glass
Add whiskey, simple syrup, and bitters to shaker glass. add ice and stir
Strain into whiskey glass and zest with lemon peel
Add ice
Garnish with blackberry
blackberry simple syrup:
Bring all ingredients to a simmer, stirring continuously
reduce heat to low and cover
Let simmer about 6-8 minutes
Uncover and smash blackberries
Strain with cheese cloth
Cool in a jar in refrigerator. Good up to two weeks.
